MRS. BULLIN said When my husband brought home the pa-

pers dealing with his auspension from duty, I had a look at them

and took note of the address and name of the people making the

charges against him. My husband explained to me why he visited

the premises on both occasions, i.e. about the illegal partition

on the back verandah and the Chinese bed in the kitchen. On the

2nd May, 1912, I visited 51, Queen's Road East, unbeknown to my
